(BIG TEN) SAVOY, Ill. – The Wisconsin men's cross country team captured its seventh consecutive team title after winning the 2024 Big Ten Cross Country Championships hosted by the University of Illinois on the Orange and Blue Golf Course.

The Badgers scored a total of 46 points, including five runners who finished in the top 20. Washington and Oregon each scored 58 points, rounding out the podium spots.

Bob Liking of Wisconsin took the individual title, completing the 8K course in a time of 22:47.3. His time set a new championship record, surpassing Purdue's Matt McClintock's previous record time of 23:12.1. Liking won his fourth straight individual title, joining an elite group as just the fourth runner and only Badger in Big Ten history to win four individual championships.

Wisconsin is the most decorated program in Big Ten history with 55 team championships and 38 individual titles. With this year's victory, head coach Mick Byrne has led his program to 16 championships, the best record by a coach in conference history.

The top 10 finishers at the Big Ten Championships earned first-team All-Big Ten honors, while those ranked 11th through 20th received second-team laurels. The top five ranked freshmen earned a spot on the All-Freshman team.
