Wild shine against reigning champions – Wilderness Walk

The old saying goes: You can't punch a ticket to the playoffs in October and November, but you can definitely miss the playoffs in these two months.

So far, and I agree with ODC, the sample size of 6 games is too small. But the first ten games could help us gain points, points that Nashville doesn't get. Instead of chasing them, it's a little nicer if they chase us.

Just a small point, but I believe the Wild on the road is all about scoring points. They will not incite the opposing fan base and, unless necessary, will not control the boys through the walls. The show is for the local fan base. Hopefully they can do it again against Tampa Bay.

The Ohgren problem: The stats say he does zip. My eye test shows that he is doing better. In his first game he looked pretty lost in all aspects of the game. In this particular game, it looked like Ohgren had caught up with his legs. I'm not sure he knows where he's supposed to be, but at least there's an improvement. His hands haven't caught up, especially handling sticks. But I bet he'll be in a few more games.

Now it's all about playing him. If we put him in the pros box once Hartzy is healthy, he will likely lose any momentum he has gained. I think he will catch up if we play him regularly.

Remember, he is a very green newbie. Beginners have these problems. I'm not sure A can fix the problem. It looks like they're not doing so well.

Spurgeon is my biggest concern. Apparently he's flying to Philly to skate with the team. Sounds like he's close. However, if he continues to fumble pucks, the physicality will come his way. He must pass the puck cleanly to avoid unnecessary contact.
