Widespread snowfall is expected across southern Colorado as the work week begins

The forecast for tonight:
There are still a few showers near the Colorado-New Mexico border, but most of us will stay dry tonight. Snow showers are possible in the mountains tonight, but they won't fully impact I-25. For most of us, temperatures will drop to as low as 30°C overnight. 50-year-olds are expected across the region on Sunday.

Colorado Springs Forecast: Low: 33; High: 56;
Tonight temperatures will climb into the lower 30s, but tomorrow we'll be back into the 50s. Tomorrow evening we will see a few showers along I-25, eventually transitioning to snow overnight. We will see the snow start in the higher elevations and work its way down to the springs. Closer to AFB they could see between 2 and 4 inches. Closer to Fountain it will probably be more of a trail.

Pueblo Forecast: Low: 33; High: 64;
Pueblo will also fall into the 30s tonight, but 60s are expected tomorrow. You'll see more of a rain-snow mix and if there is any accumulation it will be more of a trace. Since Pueblo is much lower, it is more difficult to transition into snow, especially at these temperatures.

Canon City forecast: Low: 37; High: 59;
Canon City will push into the upper 30s tonight. Values ​​are expected to be in the upper 50s tomorrow and the forecast is similar to Pueblo. You will also see more of a rain/snow mix and if there is any accumulation it will be more of a trail.

Woodland Park Forecast: Low: 26; High: 48;
It will be chilly in Woodland Park tonight with temperatures around 20°C. Highs tomorrow will only reach the upper 40s. Snow showers begin in the evening and continue throughout the night. Snow will begin to fall on Monday morning, which will likely impact roads.

Tri Lakes Forecast: Low: 33; High: 51;
Tonight temperatures will drop into the low 30s and tomorrow temperatures will drop into the low 50s. The Tri-Lakes area will see rain and then snow. At some point there will be snow making its way south along I-25.

Plains forecast: Low: Upper 30s/low 40s; High: 60s;
Temperatures tonight will be in the upper 30s/lower 40s. A few showers were spotted on radar but were expected to clear from the state overnight. Temperatures tomorrow will be in the 60s. We could see a few isolated showers tomorrow evening, but these will become stronger overnight and into Monday. La Junta and Springfield have the best chance of seeing a wintry mix and possibly snow. If something gets stuck, it's more likely to be a trace.

Forecast for Walsenburg and Trinidad: Low: 36; High: 57/60;
Walsenburg and Trinidad will reach values ​​in the mid 30s tonight and upper 50s/low 60s expected tomorrow. As for this storm system, we will see some showers late Sunday evening and early Monday morning. It will snow early Monday morning. This will likely impact your morning commute. So plan accordingly.

Mountain Forecast: Low: Low 20s; High: Upper 40s/low 50s;
Winter storm watches are in effect for the Wet Mountains and the Sangres. Anything above 11,000 feet will see several inches of snow and it will be heavy at times. We are currently seeing (Saturday at 10pm) snow showers that will continue overnight. Heavy snowfall will increase as this storm system makes its way here tomorrow. The snow will start earlier and will likely continue throughout the day. Mountain passes will be difficult to pass.

Advanced Forecast Forecast:
Leaving this storm system behind, Election Day looks to be sunny and warmer. The roads can still be a bit muddy. So be careful when you go to the polls.

Wednesday brings even bigger changes, and this storm system could potentially be more severe than the one we'll see on Monday. This system appears to be stalling over the state, which could result in higher snow totals. This is still being sorted out and things could change before we reach that point.
