    Over a million voted in Maryland and Virginia

    Thirteen new vote centers opened in Fairfax County for in-person early voting. As of Thursday, more than 800,000 people in Virginia have voted either in person or by absentee ballot. Early voting in Virginia began on September 20th. FOX 5's Lili Zheng tells the story.

    BETHESDA, MD. – Early in-person voting Maryland for The 2024 presidential election begins on October 24th.

    The early voting centers are open until October 31st from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

    Once early voting begins in Maryland, voters will be able to go to one Early Voting Center in the county in which they live.

    Voting during early voting is the same as voting on Election Day. When you arrive at the early voting center, register to vote and cast your ballot.

    Instructions are available at early voting centers to help you familiarize yourself with the ballot. You can ask an election judge to explain to you how to vote, but you must cast your vote alone unless you are unable to do so because you have a disability or cannot read or write the English language.

    Election officials in Maryland are having trouble finding Republican election judges

    Early voting in Maryland begins in three days as county officials in the state try to find Republicans to serve as election judges. In a state with an imbalance between Democrats and Republicans, that was no easy task.

    Who can vote early in Maryland?

    Anyone who is registered to vote can vote in early voting. Anyone eligible to vote can vote in early voting.

    Registered voters have always been able to vote during early voting, but now those eligible to vote but not yet registered can also register and vote.

    To register and vote during early voting, go to an early voting center in the county where you live and bring a document stating where you live. This document may be your MVA-issued license, ID card, or change of address card, or your paycheck, bank statement, utility bill, or other government document with your name and new address on it. You can register to vote and cast your vote.
