Any day is a good day for tacos, but socially Tuesday has become the epitome of the week to eat a few (maybe with a margarita or two). Few things are better than meat (or vegetable) filled tortillas loaded with cheese, guacamole, pico de gallo, and salsa. Already hungry? Save the date because this Taco Tuesday will be very special.

National Taco Day is this Tuesday, October 1st. The holiday was traditionally celebrated on the 4th, regardless of what day of the week it was. However, Taco Bell recently requested that the holiday be celebrated on the first Tuesday in October (so it will always be Taco Tuesday) and was successful.

Many companies offer great deals. Whether you choose carne asada, chicken, shrimp or veggies, you can get a free taco here on National Taco Day.

Taco Bell

The iconic chain celebrates BIG and keeps the party going all month long. To begin, Rewards Members will be able to redeem a different taco for $1 every hour on National Taco Day. New offerings will be available from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., including menu items like Chalupa Supreme and Cheesy Gordita Crunch. The celebration will continue throughout the month with additional drops of limited-edition merchandise and a chance to win a VIP tour of Taco Bell headquarters.

7-Eleven's Laredo Taco Company

The popular quick-service market is releasing all-new Carnitas Bravas tacos featuring crispy, flavorful, slow-cooked pork in honor of the holiday. Check them out and get a meal deal (two tacos with a Big Gulp drink) on National Taco Day or get $2 chicken fajita tacos instead.

El Pollo Loco

El Pollo Loco is spreading the taco love with a three-day celebration. From October 1-4, Loco Rewards members can get any three chicken tacos for $5 (valid on orders in store, online or through their app). Plus, free delivery on all online orders on October 1st.

Jack in the Box

One day is not enough for Jack in the Box. The chain is celebrating tacos all week from September 30th through October 4th, offering Jack Pack members two free Monster Tacos with any $1 purchase.

Chevy's Fresh Mex

While Chevy's hasn't released its National Taco Day offers at the time of publication, the company has in the past offered a free taco plate with the purchase of another entree, as well as additional happy hour deals.

Del Taco

Del Taco also has not announced its offerings for National Taco Day as of press time. However, the chain has celebrated with “Tacoberfest” full of weekly deals throughout the month in the past, so we're guessing there'll be at least one free item to look forward to.

Long John Silvers

While Long John Silver's has not released its National Taco Day offerings at the time of publication, the company typically gives customers one of its popular fish tacos free with the purchase of any meal, combo or platter this holiday.

At the border

For National Taco Day, On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina is offering a special on Endless Tacos for $10 through Sunday, October 13th. Guests can choose between Pulled Chicken Tinga and Seasoned Ground Beef Tacos when dining at participating On The Border restaurants. For an additional $3, you can upgrade to Endless Brisket or Southwest Chicken Tacos.

Qdoba

At the time of publication, Qdoba has not released the details of its National Taco Day offer, but we expect the company to build on its existing Taco Tuesday special – a free taco with the purchase of an entree. Last year, it also offered Qdoba Rewards members double points on purchases.
