There is a chance of light rain every day this week. The best chance could come on Election Day Tuesday. However, there will be no rainfall on Tuesday as scattered rain continues. Don't let the rain be the reason you don't vote. To avoid the risk of rain, it is best to drive in the morning or early afternoon.

We continue to monitor tropical threats to the Gulf of Mexico. Potential Tropical Cyclone No. 18 is forecast to become Rafael. This system is expected to move into the Gulf of Mexico as a hurricane by midweek. Exactly where this system will eventually make landfall and how strong it will be at that point remains highly uncertain. However, we do not expect conditions to be conducive to tropical development in the Gulf due to drier air and strong wind shear.
