Vikings post-game report: The Minnesota Vikings defeat the Indianapolis Colts 21-13 and improve to 6-2

Welcome to the Vikings postgame report. The Minnesota Vikings defeated the Indianapolis Colts 21-13 on Sunday night at US Bank Stadium to improve to 6-2. The first half ended with a 7-0 score, thanks to the Colts scoring a scoop-and-score on a Vikings sack fumble in the second quarter. The Vikings tied the game early in the 3rd quarter with a 4-yard touchdown pass to Jordan Addison. The Vikings added two more touchdown passes to Jalen Nailor and Josh Oliver in the 2nd half to take a 21-10 lead. The Colts added a field goal in the bottom of the fourth, but the Vikings recovered with a late onside kick to secure the win. Sam Darnold was 28 of 34 passing for 290 yards, threw 3 touchdowns and had 2 interceptions. Aaron Jones led the Vikings' running attack with 64 yards on the ground and 18 yards through the air. Justin Jefferson once again led the receiving game with 137 yards through the air. Kicker Will Reichard missed his first two field goal attempts of the season, but was perfect with his three extra points. On defense, Jonathan Greenard added two sacks, Jihad Ward also recorded a sack, Harrison Smith recovered a fumble and Byron Murphy Jr. grabbed his second interception of the season.
