The Los Angeles Chargers' offense struggled to find much traction in the first half of their game against the New Orleans Saints, but team captain and under-centerman Justin Herbert is doing everything he can to generate enough momentum to put points on the board.

At the time of the game, the Saints were up 2-0 at the end of the first quarter when they regained possession. On the first play, offensive coordinator Greg Roman attempted a pass play, but Herbert quickly decided to let his feet do the talking.

He put the ball away and left New Orleans defensive tackle Khalen Saunders in the dust. Herbert then went full throttle to cut two more defenders, linebacker Willie Gay and defensive end Cameron Jordan, in half before finally being thrown off the field after a 38-yard dash.

Most importantly, the play gave the Bolts their first point of the game – a 46-yard field goal that gave them a 3-2 lead.

It was also the longest offensive play of the game at the time.

With 9:30 minutes left in the first half, Herbert had completed six of twelve passes for just 37 yards.
