Wednesday was Girma's 42nd international appearance in his career. She is highly regarded for her defense and appeared stunned when she scored for the first time.

This goal came in the 37th minute. Argentine goalkeeper Solana Pereyra and Cometti both went after a ball close to the net and neither of them was able to clear it. The ball bounced to Girma, who headed it into the gaping goal.

Seven minutes later, Rose Lavelle took a corner and Girma attempted a header. The ball landed in the direction of Cometti, who legged the ball into her own net, giving the USA a 2-0 lead.

“It was kind of our winning streak, so we got three solid wins and a lot of celebration and proud moments for individuals,” defender Emily Fox said.

At the start of the second half, Girma was at work again. Malonson played a pass to Girma, who sent a header into the top right corner of the net in the 49th minute, increasing the lead to three goals.

In the 82nd minute, Jaedyn Shaw had a chance for the USWNT, but sent a right-footed free kick over the net.

Haught's only save came in the fourth minute when Argentina's Vanina Preininger fired a very long shot on goal.

Eva Gaetino and Malonson made their first appearances for the United States alongside Haught.

Pereyra made four saves for Argentina.

The USA will finish the year with two games in Europe. They play England at Wembley on November 30 before facing the Netherlands in The Hague on December 3.
