    Universal Orlando officials announced last week that the highly anticipated Epic Universe theme park will make its public debut on Thursday, May 22nd.

    The new park will house dozens of new attractions, dining and entertainment experiences, including five new themed areas for park visitors to explore. The first phase of parking tickets is already on sale.

    Here's what you need to know if you plan to visit the theme park once it opens and want to grab tickets.

    What is Universal Epic Universe? Here you can find out what the new park has to offer

    Epic Universe is Universal Orlando's fourth park. It is located about 10 to 15 minutes from the existing theme parks on Sand Lake Road in Orlando.

    There will be five lands in the new Epic Universe theme park. In total, these areas will feature “more than 50 immersive attractions, entertainment, dining and shopping experiences,” the resort said.

    ▶ Heavenly Park – Available to First World guests entering the park are relaxing gardens, a “wet play area,” a large carousel, and Stardust Racers, a double-start racing roller coaster with a 5,000-foot track and speeds of up to 62 miles per hour . Celestial Park will also serve as a gateway to Epic Universe's four other worlds, accessible via themed portals.

    ▶ How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk will give fans of the How to Train Your Dragon series the chance to finally fly to the heights like Hiccup, Astrid and their fellow dragon riders do on screen.

    ▶ Dark Universe – Guests can expect to “experience everything from Dr. Victoria Frankenstein to the shadowy landscape where monsters roam in a world full of myths and secrets.”

    ▶ Super Nintendo World will transport guests to the fan-favorite video game series with adventures featuring Mario, Princess Peach and more, including at Universal Studios Hollywood.

    ▶ The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic will “combine the 1920s magical Paris of Warner Bros. Pictures' Fantastic Beasts films with the iconic British Ministry of Magic of the Harry Potter series,” according to Universal Orlando, already home to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Hogsmeade” is The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Diagon Alley.

    How are Epic Universe tickets sold? You can purchase certain tickets today

    Ticket sales for multi-day tickets and holiday packages began on October 22nd.

    Guests can choose between three-, four-, or five-day tickets, with only one of those days taking place at Epic Universe and the rest at Universal Studios Florida or Universal Islands of Adventure. Universal tickets for Volcano Bay water park can also be added.

    Three-day passes range from $352 to $521, depending on the date. That equates to between $118 and $174 per park per day. Like many theme parks, Universal Orlando has dynamic pricing. Further pricing details can be found on Universal's website.

    Guests who bundle multi-day tickets with stays at one of Universal Orlando's 11 hotels — including the three new ones near Epic — can save up to $200 as part of their vacation package.

    Are day tickets available for Epic Universe?

    For annual pass holders only.

    The resort has not yet announced when one-day Epic Universe tickets will be available to the general public starting October 22nd.

    Details on this, as well as other multi-day tickets, Florida resident tickets, military promotions and Universal Express passes, will be released in the coming months.

    I have annual passes for Universal Orlando. When can I go to Epic Universe?

    Universal Orlando said passholders will be able to visit the theme park before the general public. Soft opening options will be announced soon for annual passholders.

    In addition, passholders now have the opportunity to purchase discounted Epic Universe day passes for the park's regular operating calendar.

    Universal said each passholder can only purchase one additional ticket per date, with a limit of six tickets per purchase transaction to accommodate passholders who have other passholders linked to their accounts.
