Despite trailing the NFL's worst offense in points per game at 2-4, the Miami Dolphins are not motivated to trade Tyreek Hill during the season.

In the latest episode of the Scoop City In the podcast (starting at 28:50), The Athletic's Dianna Russini reported that the Dolphins would “not move” Hill before the trade deadline.

Hill had fun trolling fans a few weeks ago after Davante Adams asked the Las Vegas Raiders for a trade.

There are no signs that the Dolphins want to leave Hill. They just signed him to a revised deal three years, $90 million contract in August that keeps him under contract through the 2026 season.

Miami's season so far has been largely thanks to the absence of Tua Tagovailoa since Week 2, when he suffered a concussion against the Buffalo Bills. The Dolphins have tried to piece together the offense over the last four games, with Tyler Huntley and Skylar Thompson starting at quarterback.

Things didn't go well as the offense scored fewer than 20 points in five straight games, including Sunday's 16-10 loss to the Indianapolis Colts. The Dolphins' 11.7 points per game are the fewest in the NFL and nearly 18 points worse than their 2023 average (29.2).

There is potential for hope in Miami. Head coach Mike McDaniel announced that Tagovailoa will practice this week with the goal of playing against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

The Dolphins are just 1.5 games out of a playoff spot in the AFC with a record of 2-4. Starting Sunday, they have a few winnable games against the Cardinals that could turn their season around if they get the offense going.

Hill looks to be a much bigger part of the offense with Tagovailoa back under center. He caught just one pass for eight yards in Sunday's loss to the Colts. His 49.0 receiving yards per game is his lowest average since his rookie year in 2016 (37.1).
