Tyler, the Creator, expanded on this CHROMACOPY world before the anticipated album is released. On Sunday (October 27), the California native delivered the music video for “THOUGHT I WAS DEAD,” hours before the album's official release the next morning.

In the self-filmed clip, the 33-year-old performs the track while standing on the wing of a vintage fighter jet. The black and white toned visual follows the videos for “ST. CHROMA” and “NOID” by CHROMACOPY as well as promotional videos for the album and upcoming world tour.

“Thank you very much for coming. I was born and raised in LA. Inglewood, Hawthorne to be exact. This album was originally about growing up in these areas,” the Grammy winner told fans at a listening event on Sunday night Chromacopy at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

“The album kind of made me take on a bunch of shit that my mom told me when I was a kid. Now that I'm 33, it's always like, “Oh, that's what she was talking about!” Oh, I'm not the guy I was when I was 20! Oh shit!'”

He continued: “People are getting older. People with children and families. And all I have is a new Ferrari, and after a while it feels kind of weird. I'm gaining weight. I have gray hairs on my chest.”
