Rapper and hip-hop artist Tyler, The Creator announced a surprise 30-minute performance at Converse Lovejoy Wharf this afternoon, where fans can hear his latest album Chromakopia.

The ticket price is $5 and entry opens at 2 p.m., the rapper announced via Instagram story. The text of the story read: “Don’t be late. The show starts on time.”

“The Stop in Boston” is the latest in what appears to be a series from the rapper. He previously announced and performed a show called “30 Minutes of Chromakopia,” which is also the name of the Boston show, on Tuesday, October 29, in Atlanta, Georgia.

Chromakopia is the Grammy-winning artist's first album in three years and his seventh studio album overall. The album, released last Monday, features appearances from Daniel Caesar, GloRilla and Lil Wayne, among others.

For fans who can't get tickets for tonight's unexpected performance, Tyler, The Creator will be touring in 2025 to promote the album. Chromakopia: The World Tour kicks off on February 4th in St. Paul, MN and comes to the TD Garden in Boston on July 8th and 9th, 2025. Rapper Lil Yachty and hip-hop duo Paris Texas will perform as support acts.
