Two people were reportedly injured in Evangeline Parish Tuesday morning after a tornado ripped through parts of Evangeline Parish.

Doppler radar showed a circulation near Basile, Louisiana, and it was moving north toward the Pine Prairie and Turkey Creek areas.

News15 reported early Tuesday morning that two people in Basile suffered minor injuries after a tornado hit the small town in Evangeline Parish. According to the report, the injuries were minor.

We're told that disaster has struck a small business in Basile, Rhea's Specialty Meat & Smokehouse.

Still, it was a dangerous situation in Acadiana Tuesday morning as a cell moved through parts of Evangeline Parish.
