LOS ANGELES – Anfernee Simons scored 25 points, Deandre Ayton had 15 points and 12 rebounds and the Portland Trail Blazers battled past the Los Angeles Clippers 106-105 on Wednesday night.

Deni Avdija had 13 points and 10 rebounds and made a game-saving block when he stuffed Norman Powell on a fastbreak with 29 seconds left to preserve a one-point lead.

Scoot Henderson added 14 points and Toumani Camara had 12 points for Portland, which trailed throughout the fourth quarter until Simons made a layup with 2:44 left.

Powell had 30 points and James Harden had 19 points and 10 assists for the Clippers. Los Angeles made just one field goal and scored just three points, coming in the final 3:30 of the game.
