Pay close attention to the weather conditions today!

It was a calm morning, but weather conditions are expected to change quickly throughout the day.

Chief meteorologist David Payne and his team are tracking the threat of wind, hail and tornadoes.

Tornado watches:

Alfalfa, Blaine, Caddo, Canadian, Custer, Dewey, Garfield, Kay, Kingfisher, Logan, Major, Noble, Oklahoma, Payne, Washita, Woods and Woodward County until 9 p.m

What is the weather like on Wednesday in Oklahoma?

Expect highs of 80 on Wednesday afternoon, but rain chances are increasing and storms are expected to develop in the afternoon.

A cold front and dry zone will initially trigger strong to severe storms in the northwest.

Storms will develop west of I-35 during the afternoon and move east into the evening. The OKC metro will experience severe storms between 8 and 10 p.m

Much-needed rain returns with storms producing damaging winds, large hail and isolated tornadoes.

Any storm that develops ahead of the dry line and cold front has the highest chance of a tornado.

The fire danger and major threat will peak later Wednesday.

Things get a lot cooler for us on Thursday (Halloween) and Friday.

Halloween looks dry and cool. After the storm system passes, you can expect a clear and pleasant day for trick-or-treaters!

Temperatures are around 70° and the light wind makes for a pleasant evening.

Further rainfall is forecast for the weekend and could continue into early next week.
