New footage from this year Cruel intentions (on Prime Video November 21) is out today and is overflowing with references and inside jokes to the 1999 classic starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Reese Witherspoon and Selma Blair. There's also the allure of a new “practice kiss” make-out scene, similar to Kathryn Merteuil and Cece Caldwell's iconic image of Gellar and Blair locking lips in Central Park.

One character even makes a joke about losing her hymen while riding a “beautiful palomino named Lucky.” This is undoubtedly an indication of that Cruel intentions 2the far less culturally significant 2000 sequel, with a scene in which Cherie Claymon is aroused by Keri Lynn Pratt while riding horses in Central Park.
