The Raiders' season opener at Kentucky is coming up for ESPNU

DAYTON— The Wright State men's basketball team will announce the 2024-25 season in front of a national television audience on ESPNU on Monday, November 4 at 7 p.m. The announcement was made Thursday afternoon by ESPN and SEC officials.

The Clint Sargent The era begins for the Raiders against first-year Kentucky head coach Mark Pope. Wright State and Kentucky have met five times, most recently in the 2015-16 season, while the Raiders and Wildcats will meet for the second time this season after opening in 1992-93.

Wright State has hosted three regular-season ESPN linear games in each of the last two seasons and has had at least one regular-season ESPN linear contest in 16 of the last 17 seasons since 2006-2007, including multiple regular-season contests 12 times during the same 17-year stretch . The Horizon League will announce its ESPN Wild Card dates and play options for this season at a later date.

Wright State returns eight players from last season and adds six newcomers (three freshmen, three transfers). Brandon Noel (14.5 ppg) and Alex Huibregtse (12.3 ppg) both averaged double-digit points in the 2023-24 season, with Noel leading the team with 8.0 rebounds per game last season.
