The odds of the Kansas City Chiefs remaining undefeated are the best bet for the Monday Night Football preview

Last weekend we walked the fine line between autumnal warmth and wintery cold.

My NFL Sunday tips also walked a fine line between a good week and a great week.

One injury here, another two yards there, and we have the difference between 70 percent of the missions and 80 percent of the missions in another busy weekend.

As we turn the page this morning, we find ourselves facing the final stop of NFL Week 9 with Monday Night Football.

We also have a triple feature tonight with NBA action across the TSN network.

The coffee is hot, the information is plentiful and the last colors of the year are hanging on the trees outside my window as we prepare for the coming cold of winter.

While we wait, I can't think of a better way to start the week than with another pair of FanDuel Best Bet winners in this column.

Because who has it better than us?

This is the morning coffee for Monday November 4th, 2024.

What are the chances of the Chiefs winning 17-0?

In case you missed it, NFL Sunday Week 9 was what a close friend of mine called “nightmare fuel” for sports betting.

The NFL favorites are 13-1 ahead and 10-4 against the spread so far this week.

The home favorite took a 9-0 lead overall.

That trend looks set to continue tonight as the Kansas City Chiefs look to continue their perfect start to the season as 9.5-point favorites against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Kansas City is 7-0 and 5-2 against the spread.

The Chiefs are on pace to be a bigger favorite tonight than in any other game this season.

What are the chances that Mahomes and Co. will be at the top with a perfect regular season?

Kansas City has a +900 lead at 17-0 on FanDuel.

That number represents a 1 in 10 chance of them finishing at the top of the league with an undefeated regular season.

As for tonight, there is no reason to believe the Chiefs will lose to the injury-ravaged Buccaneers team, and I expect them to be near double-digit favorites at home.

Tampa Bay will be without Mike Evans and Chris Godwin.

The Bucs could also be missing Bucky Irving, Sterling Shepard, Jalen McMillan and Antoine Winfield due to various injuries, as all of those players either did not practice or had limited practice this week.

Anything can happen on any given Sunday — or Monday, if you will — but even at full strength, I wouldn't bet on Tampa Bay winning a prime-time game in Kansas City.

With such a long injury list it becomes even more difficult.

Here's what I would play as my FanDuel Best Bets.

I'll start with Samaje Perine over 7.5 yards.

In his last three games, Perine had 25.3 receiving yards and recorded 22+ receiving yards in each of those games.

Now he faces a Tampa Bay defense that has allowed the second-most receiving yards and the third-most receiving yards to opposing running backs this season.

On the other hand, the Bucs have struggled with the sixth-fewest running backs this season, meaning that even though Kansas City is a 9.5-point favorite heading into the second half, they still have quick throws and Using screens could get you first downs.

Give me Perine over 7.5 yards as my top FanDuel bet for Monday Night Football.

I'll also set a same-game parlay for today's game, with the Chiefs taking the outright win and Cade Otton recording both 4+ receptions and 40+ receiving yards.

Otton's target share has skyrocketed since Mike Evans and Chris Godwin were sidelined with injuries.

The Bucs TE1 combined for 20 goals in back-to-back losses to the Atlanta Falcons and Baltimore Ravens.

In those two games, he averaged 8.5 receptions and 90.5 with two touchdowns.

He also had a catch of more than 28 yards in both games.

Now Otton faces a Kansas City defense that has allowed opposing tight ends a season-worst 7.0 receptions and 80.9 receiving yards per game.

I'm betting on at least four catches and at least 40 yards from Otton in a loss against the Chiefs as SGP this morning at odds of -104.

The best FanDuel bets for Monday Night Football are secured.

Hopefully we can close out Week 9 in the NFL with another primetime game sweep.

Have a nice day everyone!
