The messy dynamics between wife and ex-husband are almost as complicated as the international quagmire they find themselves in in jolly old England. Russell's ambassador is on the case, but the arrival of the scandal-scarred US Vice President (a brilliantly deployed Allison Janney) complicates the heroine's mission and could torpedo her personal ambitions.

Of her stay in a minimum-security prison in West Virginia, Stewart says, “Those prosecutors should have been put in a Cuisinart and put on overdrive.” Among the revelations? The premiere begins on Sunday at 8 p.m. and will be streamed on Max.
