BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) – The Buffalo Bills offense didn't get off to a good start on offense through the first seven weeks of the season. And no one has been asked about it more than quarterback Josh Allen.

On Sunday, he led a 14-play, 90-yard drive that ended with a two-yard touchdown pass to Keon Coleman. A true sign that this offense may finally be starting to put the puzzle together.

“It's a lot of execution and quick little decisions that lead to bigger things,” Allen said after the game. “Here, too, we could have let losing the ball stop us from having a good game, but we found ways to keep moving the ball.”

The Bills have done a good job in recent weeks of sustaining long attacks that started deep in their own territory. It was a deciding factor when they struggled to find a rhythm at the start of games. Bills head coach Sean McDermott said it was good to see the offense do both on Sunday.

“You know you have to be efficient and explosive at the same time on offense, and I felt like we were both,” McDermott said. “We got big pieces and are efficient when we need to be efficient. As a team, it’s a good start overall and if we get the chance to make money in the red zone, we can benefit from it.”

Sunday's win also proves that something as simple as a quick start on offense can create an advantage that determines the flow of the game. This is especially helpful when playing on the go in an environment like Lumen Field.

“Especially in situations like this, you want to start fast on offense and try to use that energy to calm down in the stadium. Our defense did a good job of giving us that momentum and we were able to quickly step up and score.”
