The early slate of Sunday games for Week 8 includes several division games, including in the AFC South. The division-leading Houston Texans hosted the Indianapolis Colts for the second meeting between the two teams this season.

In the third quarter, the Texans' leading wide receiver, Stefon Diggs, left the game with a knee injury. Here's what happened and its status.

Stefon Diggs injury update

Diggs injured his knee on a third-quarter route run against Kenny Moore. It was a non-contact injury after he jammed his knee when he cut his knee.

He injured his right knee in the game, the same knee he suffered in 2021 and 2016, and missed time both years.

Will Stefon Diggs return?

Diggs was able to leave the field under his own power and get to the locker room.

It's questionable whether Diggs will return from this injury. The team has not provided any updates on his availability. Although he was able to walk to the locker room, Diggs may have sustained more damage and could be out for an extended period of time.

Stefon Diggs stats

In seven games, Diggs had 42 catches for 415 yards and three receiving touchdowns. He also has two runs for 12 yards and a touchdown.

Before his injury, Diggs had five catches for 81 yards against the Colts.
