Taco Bell is reviving 5 retro menu items and they're all under $3

There are a few cheesy blasts from the past at Taco Bell.

The fast-casual Mexican restaurant is reviving five old menu items for a limited time starting October 31st. The Decades menu features fan-favorite dishes from the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s and 2000s.

The tostada is the most outdated product. According to a press release, it was one of six items released at Taco Bell's first walk-up location in California and tops a tostada shell with refried beans, red sauce, lettuce and shredded cheese. This item costs $2.19.

Tostada; Burrito with green sauce.

The 1970s are represented with the Green Sauce Burrito, which combines refried beans, onions, shredded cheese and a green tomatillo-jalapeño sauce in a soft tortilla for $2.49. Customers have tried to recreate this burrito using ordering tricks over the years, making it one of Taco Bell's “most hacked” items, according to the company.

MTV may not be playing music videos like they did in the 1980s, but Taco Bell is bringing back another relic of that era. The coveted Meximelt ($3) is a tortilla filled with beef, pico de gallo and a three-cheese blend (mozzarella, cheddar and Monterey Jack cheese).

Meximelt; Gordita Supreme.

A bite of Gordita Supreme for $3 should bring back memories of Beanie Babies, mood rings, and Tamagotchis. The 1990s-inspired option is a flatbread stuffed with beef, sour cream, lettuce, tomatoes and the same three-cheese blend as the Meximelt.

The Gordita Supreme will also be available in a Luxe Cravings Box for $7, in addition to a Beefy 5-Layer Burrito, Double Stacked Taco, Chips and Nacho Cheese, and a fountain drink.

The 2000s bring a sweet product: the Caramel Apple Empanada. The Y2K Throwback features a crispy batter with apple chunks and caramel for $3. Unlike the other Decades menu items, this limited-time dessert won't be available until November 21st.

Fans can even purchase the Caramel Apple Empanada for less than $3 from November 21st to December 18th. These weeks, customers who order all four other items — Tostada, Green Sauce Burrito, Meximelt and Gordita Supreme — can get the 2000s item for $1 in the Taco Bell app.

Taco Bell also sells retro-inspired treats. Limited edition hoodies and stainless steel mugs inspired by designs from the 1960s to the 2000s will be available via the app starting October 29th. Fans can also stop by stores to grab plastic versions of the cups when making a mid-range drink purchase.
