Riley Leonard is the story of Notre Dame's offense this season. Whether you see this as a good thing or not is up to you. However, it is the reality either way.

On the Irish's first drive of the game against Navy, Leonard led a solid drive in just over four and a half minutes. That included a 42-yard completion to Jaden Greathouse that put the Irish in the red zone. Moments later, Leonard ran the ball into the end zone from the 1-yard line, giving the Irish an early 7-0 lead.

Leonard then got another chance to put points on the board when Midshipmen running back Alex Tecza fumbled the ball and Adon Shuler scooped it up for a nice interception return. He did this by hitting Kris Mitchell for a 6-yard touchdown, extending the Irish's lead to 14-0.

Here are some of the best reactions to this early happiness on social media:

Josephy Rymasz

Yes, how did he open it?

Alex Busch

Some techniques simply need time to develop.

Catlin Bogard

Sometimes that confuses us too.

Mike McGuire

Doom? Are we playing Battleship?

One foot down

Hey, better late than never.
