A singer asked if she could sing the national anthem again after hitting a high note during a presidential debate that was broadcast live on television.

Loomis performed “The Star Spangled Banner” at the Free & Equal Elections Foundation presidential debate with third-party candidates Chase Oliver of the Libertarian Party, Jill Stein of the Greens and Randall Terry of the Constitution Party.

After belting out the first few lines, the artist swayed over the high note of the lyrics “And the Rockets' Red Glare.”

In footage from the debate, the singer can be seen quickly blurting out: “I messed up, I messed up. Can I go back? Can I please go back?”

A voice can be heard offscreen telling you: “We are live.”

Then she tries to get through a few more texts before blurting out again: “I got too nervous.”

The artist fights through to the end and her performance is met with light applause.

She later told TMZ that she only had one day to practice before the Oct. 24 debate, adding, “I really sing. I’m a good singer.”
