LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) – Measurable precipitation only fell on TWO days in all of October and we only received about half of what we normally expect in the tenth month of the year. November already has one measurable rainy day and we expect more rain Monday into Tuesday morning.

The best rain chances are in south-central and eastern Nebraska. 0.50″ to 1.50″ possible Monday to Tuesday morning.

Now let's talk about our temperatures: Thanks to the extensive cloud cover, the likelihood of rain and an approaching cold front, we shouldn't get too warm from the morning hours onwards. Highs are expected to be in the low 50s to the west and mid to upper 50s to the east.

There will be occasional rain tonight, especially in eastern Nebraska. The coldest temperatures will be in western Nebraska, while temperatures will be relatively mild in eastern Nebraska.

A few lingering showers Tuesday morning across eastern Nebraska. A mostly sunny sky develops in the afternoon with seasonal temperatures in the 50s.

Due to cloud cover and the chance of precipitation, no significant temperature fluctuations are expected this week. Rain chances are best after Tuesday, Friday and Saturday.
