After a lopsided and disappointing loss to the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday night, Blues head coach Drew Bannister is making a number of changes to the lineup for Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Flyers (6:00 p.m. CT, FanDuel Sports Network, 101 ESPN).

“We have to make a change,” Bannister said after Wednesday’s practice in Philadelphia. “Just the thought process there is we felt like we needed to move some players and get a reaction from our players. We can't go back to the way it was, so that was just the thought process. We kind of moved some people around,” had a few workers and a few shooters on the lines.

Each forward combination is expected to be different on Thursday as the Blues look to cap a four-game road trip with a win, which would give them a .500 road trip.

The lineup changes include Pavel Buchnevich now centering a top line with Alexandre Texier and Jake Neighbors, while Dylan Holloway moves to the middle of the second line between Brandon Saad and Jordan Kyrou. Holloway is tied with Jake Neighbors at the top of the table with four goals in ten games.

Other changes include Brayden Schenn moving to the wing with Radek Faksa and Zack Bolduc on a revamped third line, while Nathan Walker returns to the lineup for the first time on October 19, replacing Kasperi Kapanen, who started Tuesday's game Left with an injury to the upper body and is being considered daily.

Scott Perunovich returns to the third defensive pairing with Matthew Kessel replacing PO Joseph.

“Early on, it will be important for us to come out and settle into the game right away,” Bannister said. “We pushed our game, I think. We need to value our work more than our skills at the start of the game, and I think skills will take over as the game progresses. But work. It has to be work the first period.”
