Ryan Reynolds has responded to Martha Stewart's claim that he's “not that funny in real life.”

“I wouldn’t agree with her. But I tried that once,” the 48-year-old “Deadpool & Wolverine” star tweeted Saturday beneath a video of Stewart, 83, discussing his humor on the Bilt Rewards “Rent Free” game show in November .

He added: “The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after about a mile.”

The lifestyle guru made the comments about her longtime friend and neighbor while trying to guess who respondents to a Bilt Rewards survey would have the most fun spending time with.

“He's probably only on the list because he covers up in his movies and you don't see his face – Ryan Reynolds, is he one of those?” she asked.

“And you want to know something? He's not that funny in real life. No, he's not that funny. He’s very serious.”

Later in the video, she doubled down on her statement, adding, “He’s a good actor. He can be funny, but he’s not funny.”

Of course, Stewart meant no harm when he mentioned Reynolds, as the two have a long history.

They met more than a decade ago when Reynolds and his now-wife Blake Lively, 37, bought a home near their farm in Bedford, NY.
