QB Keali'i Ah Yat returns to form; UM set for Cal Poly

MISSOULA – As the calendar turns to November, the college football season is reaching its most important peak. This week, No. 8 Montana (6-2, 3-1 Big Sky) travels to face Cal Poly (2-5, 1-3) looking for its third straight win.

On this week's edition of the Grizzly Insider show, MTN Sports' Kyle Hansen and UM play-by-play announcer Riley Corcoran, along with quarterback Keali'i Ah Yat and head coach Bobby Hauck, look at last week's win and Saturday's win back matchup in San Luis Obispo, California.

The Grizzlies are coming off a 24-0 win on the road against Northern Colorado last week, a victory that was important in several ways – including the return to form of Ah Yat, who had his most significant playing time since his injury in September. 21 vs. Western Carolina.

Ah Yat completed 14 of 22 passes with two touchdowns and no interceptions during his redshirt freshman season. Ah Yat played the majority of snaps ahead of junior starter Logan Fife, who threw for 907 yards with eight touchdowns and no picks in the last three games.

Ah Yat joins the show to talk about the season so far and Montana's dual quarterback approach with him and Fife.

Meanwhile, Hauck joins the show to announce the win over Northern Colorado and look ahead to the team's second straight road game at Cal Poly, which has lost three straight since beating UNC on Sept. 28 .

The UM vs. Cal Poly game begins at 3 p.m. Mountain. This game will be broadcast on CBS affiliates KPAX in Missoula, KTVQ in Billings, KRTV in Great Falls and KXLH in Helena.
