Just nine days after the embarrassing defeat against Barcelona in El Clásico, Real Madrid returns to the Champions League against AC Milan.

Nothing has gone right at Real Madrid in the last two weeks. The reigning Spanish champions conceded four goals at home to Barcelona on October 26, giving their biggest rivals an even bigger lead at the top of La Liga. Then on October 28, Vinícius Júnior controversially lost the 2024 Ballon d'Or to Rodri.

Given the huge disappointment of the club's exit in October, Los Blancos must now turn their attention to the Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti's former club are on their way to Madrid where they will try to hand Real Madrid their second home defeat in as many games.

The good news for the hosts is that Rodrygo has been included in Real Madrid's squad. The Brazilian suffered a hamstring injury during the team's 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund on October 22, but recovered quickly enough to potentially feature in Tuesday's game. Thibaut Courtois, David Alaba and Dani Carvajal remain on the sidelines due to various injuries.

This is what Real Madrid's team could look like on Tuesday November 5th against Paulo Fonseca's men.

TK: Andriy Lunin– With Courtois still sidelined, Lunin is making his fourth appearance this season.

RB: Lucas Vazquez—The Spaniard has yet to produce a decisive performance on the right in Carvajal's absence. Vázquez has had major problems defending in Real Madrid's last two games.

CB: Eder Militão—Militão fits in well with ex-Real Madrid player Álvaro Morata, who hasn't scored for Milan since September 27th.

CB: Antonio Rüdiger—Despite fitness problems, Rüdiger should be ready for action next Tuesday evening. The centre-back scored in two of Los Blancos' three UCL games this season.

LB: Ferland Mendy– Mendy must suspend Christian Pulisic if Real Madrid want to avoid conceding multiple goals for the third game in a row.

CM: Federico Valverde—Ancelotti's most consistent and reliable player is expected to start for Los Blancos for the 16th consecutive time this season.

CM: Eduardo Camavinga—Camavinga was perhaps the only standout player in Real Madrid's disastrous El Clásico defeat, using his defensive prowess to secure a place in Ancelotti's XI.

CM: Luka Modrić—The 39-year-old's creativity will be a welcome addition to a Real Madrid side that scored zero goals in their last game. Modrić's set-pieces and playmaking skills will be crucial in overcoming Milan's stingy defensive line.

Cameraman: Jude Bellingham– After several experiments as a right midfielder, it is safe to assume that Bellingham will return to his natural position on Tuesday. The England international is yet to score a goal this season.

ST: Kylian Mbappe—After a poor performance in his first El Clásico, Mbappé will be eager to bounce back against Milan. The Frenchman only has one UCL goal to his name for Real Madrid.

ST: Vinicius Junior—The Brazilian returns to the pitch for the first time since losing the 2024 Ballon d'Or. Vinícius Jr.'s last UCL appearance ended with a hat-trick against Dortmund.
