British pop star Lily Allen has had some success – but she revealed that a certain part-time job seems to be making her more money.

The 39-year-old “Smile” hitmaker took to X (formerly Twitter) on Friday, October 25, to respond to a hater who had some comments for her on some specific photos she was selling on OnlyFans.

After Allen shared a series of photos of her feet and directed her followers to her OnlyFans, she received one follower's response: “Imagine being one of the biggest pop stars/musicians in Europe and then being reduced to that.”

Allen – known for hits like “LDN,” “The Fear” and the viral TikTok track “F**k You” – responded, explaining that while she's still primarily a musician, she's learned that improving one's self Income is crucial in the industry.

“Imagine if you were a (sic) artist and had almost 8 million monthly listeners on Spotify, but you made more money if 1,000 people subscribed to pictures of your feet,” Allen said. “Don’t hate the player, hate the game.”

Allen has four albums in her catalog, her most recent being 2018 No shame. She is also the mother of two girls – Ethel Mary, 12, and Marnie Rose, 11 – both of whom she shares with her ex-husband Sam Cooper.

In a March 2024 episode Radio Times On the podcast, Allen joked that her music career took a backseat after the birth of her children – with some poignant words that were met with controversy.

“My kids ruined my career,” Allen joked. “I mean, I love them and they complete me, but as far as pop stardom goes, they've completely ruined it.”

She continued, explaining that she has no regrets about prioritizing her children.

“I decided to take a step back and focus on (my kids), and I'm glad I did that because I think they're pretty well-rounded people,” Allen said. “I hug them Thumb.”
