Paul George reacted violently to boos from Clippers fans upon returning to Los Angeles

Philadelphia 76ers star Paul George played his second game of the season on Wednesday night, and it was an important game as he returned to Los Angeles to play against the Clippers for the first time since leaving free agency.

As expected, George received a mixed reaction upon his return: some fans greeted him with cheers, others with lots of boos.

George scored 18 points and added seven rebounds and three assists in the 110-98 loss, but the story after the game was that George was booed upon his return to Los Angeles.

“It’s stupid,” George said of the boos. “I mean, I was a free agent, you know what I mean? This wasn't about me demanding a trade or going against the team. I was a free agent. The team presented something that was team friendly and I did the best for myself in that situation. Those were the boos I still don't understand about Indy, but it is what it is. I'm looking forward to being here again next year and getting more boos.

George has moved on, and now the Clippers will too. However, don't expect fans to forgive him for leaving in free agency anytime soon, especially since the franchise failed to fulfill its championship ambitions in his five years in Los Angeles.
