Oprah, Lady Gaga and more celebs join Kamala Harris on her final foray into Philadelphia

Kamala Harris hopes to turn the City of Brotherly Love blue on the eve of the election. A rally is planned for Monday evening in Philadelphia with personalities like… Oprah, Lady Gaga, Ricky MartinThe roots, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Jazmine Sullivan, Fat Joeand more. With just hours to go before Election Day, the Harris campaign is seeking voters' loyalty, with a little help from some very famous friends.

The event that affected both Harris and her husband, Second Gentleman Doug Emhoffexpected to attend will also feature an iconic backdrop: the stairs in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, perhaps better known as “The Rocky Steps.” In a fast-paced presidential campaign in which Harris has described herself as an underdog and a “joyful warrior,” it's not hard to imagine why her campaign would put her straight into one of the most enduring underdog movies of all time, Rocky.

Lady Gaga announced her participation on Sunday via a video shared to her Instagram account. “It’s time to get ready to vote, see you in Pennsylvania,” she said in the video, with “HARRIS WALZ 2024” emblazoned beneath her.

Some streets in the city are already closed to traffic in anticipation of the mass rally.

The campaign is pulling out all the stops with the rally, bringing back some speakers who have supported the Veep since Harris topped the party's ticket as president Joe Biden resigned this summer. A purple-clad Oprah made a surprise appearance at the Democratic National Convention in August, and Ricky Martin was among the Latinx A-listers who expressed outrage after a comedian on Republican last week Donald TrumpAt the rally at Madison Square Garden in New York City last week, Puerto Rico was called a “floating island of trash.”

Amid a jam-packed weekend that included a surprise stop in New York on Saturday Saturday Night LiveHarris spent Sunday in Michigan. She will spend all of Monday in Pennsylvania. She will start the day in Scranton, Biden's hometown, then drive to Allentown and then to another campaign event in Pittsburgh, where Emhoff will join her. The two then head to the rally in Philadelphia, where they are expected to speak later in the evening. From there they travel to Washington, DC, where Harris will spend Election Day.

Katy Perryanother Harris supporter, will headline the Pittsburgh rally, which will be held at the Heinz History Center earlier in the day.

Both rallies will be livestreamed on Harris' official YouTube channel.
