For those who enjoy shopping locally and love handcrafted pieces, the famous and popular One of a Kind Winter Show returns to Toronto in November.

One of North America's largest craft markets has been taking over the city for 75 years, and this season you can expect “over 600 Canadian artisans.”

With everything from complete furniture sets to homemade baked goods, the shopping extravaganza is definitely the place to find some gifts this holiday season.

In a unique way

With a focus on Canadian branding and “small business buying,” the show was an important platform for artisans to engage with a significant audience.

“At One of a Kind, we champion creativity by bringing a community together to share ideas, stories and unique creations,” says Director Janice Leung. “We want to create an environment that supports our local talent while inspiring visitors to celebrate their individuality and creative expression.”

The market will also be collecting donations this giving season to support the Daily Bread Food Bank, which supplies stable shell foods to over 200 programs across the GTA.

Swiftie Day

While many shoppers will be distracted by the countless, unique vendors, this year will also be a big one for the city's Swifities.

With the announcement of Taylor Swift's Era's Tour and its numerous dates in Toronto, much of the city is counting down the days until the pop star's big performance.

Of course, many companies are ready to capitalize on the Swfitie craze, and the One of a Kind Show is no exception.

Among the many “themed days” at the fair this year is one aptly named “One of Kind Winter Market (Taylor's Version).”

On November 22nd, fans of the music phenomenon can experience all things Taylor Swift at the market. This only takes place on one day. So be sure to mark this on your calendar. AActivities include free friendship bracelets, a friendship bracelet decorating workshop, and a Taylor-style silent disco.

The celebration will also feature a performance by Afterglow, one of Toronto's most popular Taylor Swift tribute bands. That day will feature Taylor-style food, such as the singer's favorite combination of chicken tenders and ranch.

Other theme days

The market will also include other themes, such as “Silver Monday” on November 25th, and on November 26th, “One of a Kind Community Day” will be an opportunity for local artists to come along and the prospect of an exhibition to discuss their works next year.

Then, on Transit Wednesday on November 27th, you can bring your PRESTO card to receive a discount on adult tickets. And finally, on November 28th, “Unique after work: après-ski' will have the market open until 11pm for a nighttime experience.
