October was warmer and drier than normal in Metro Detroit, according to the National Weather Service

The average high temperature last month was 67.8 degrees — 5.8 degrees warmer than normal, according to the agency's preliminary data for this month. This made October 2024 the ninth warmest on record in terms of average maximum temperature.

Metro Detroit's average low temperature for the month was 45.2 degrees, 1.2 degrees warmer than normal, weather service data showed. It is the 49th warmest October in the region.

The highest temperature last month was 80° on October 21st. The lowest temperature was 33°C on October 27th.

The average temperature was 56.5 degrees, 3.5 degrees warmer than normal, the agency said. The month was the 20th warmest October for Detroit.
