Oasis will reportedly cancel thousands of reunion tour tickets on the secondary market

Thousands of Oasis tickets are reportedly being relisted on the secondary market at face value on Ticketmaster, according to the BBC.

Representatives from Ticketmaster and SJM Concerts, promoters of Oasis' upcoming reunion tour, told the publication that around 4% of the 1.4 million tickets sold for the band's UK performances ended up on resale sites. These tickets, which according to the BBC number over 50,000, will be cancelled.

Any customer who believes their tickets have been canceled in error can contact their ticket agent to begin an investigation, according to the BBC.

Oasis, Ticketmaster and SJM Concerts did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Oasis had announced that tickets for the Oasis '25 Live Tour could only be resold at face value through Ticketmaster or ticket resale marketplace Twickets.

These measures were implemented to curb ticket scalping or the profitable resale of tickets at inflated prices.

Demand for Oasis tickets is high as the band, which includes brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher, have not performed together for 15 years following a long-running feud between the Gallaghers.

Many fans struggled to secure tickets when the dates first went on sale in the UK. Some reported resale websites offering tickets for as much as 6,000 British pounds ($7,800) shortly after they became available.

Since then, Oasis has been taking steps to get tickets into the hands of loyal fans and keep them away from scalpers.

Consumers around the world have long complained that the practice drives up prices and prevents fans from seeing their favorite artists. Some music fans believe that fandom and devotion should be taken into account when granting access to ticket sales.

When tickets for the U.S. leg of the Oasis tour went on sale, the band introduced a questionnaire to keep sales “fan-focused” and ditched dynamic pricing to improve the ticket buying experience.

Additionally, following the sale of tickets for the Australian leg of the tour, it was announced that tickets for the two Melbourne shows could not be resold for more than 10% above their original value.

The tour will begin in the UK and Ireland in July 2025 before heading to North America in late August. The band will play Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Mexico City and East Rutherford, New Jersey during its North American leg.
