Covington Catholic 49, Mason County 0 – FINAL

A meeting between two teams that hadn't lost in October quickly became a one-sided affair Friday as Covington Catholic earned a victory over Mason County with the clock running. The Royals' only loss this season was a 3-0 loss to Boyd County in Week 4, and they had won four straight heading into that game.

Covington Catholic got off to a great start and never looked back, taking a commanding 35-0 lead at halftime behind three rushing touchdowns from quarterback Cash Harney. Four more Colonels – Tate Kruer, Sam Boyce, Owen Pitzer and Andrew Bessler – would find the end zone on the ground. Covington Catholic's defense allowed just 132 total yards, registered three sacks and forced four turnovers, including two interceptions by Logan Sanning.

Covington Catholic has outscored opponents 353-65 during its current seven-game winning streak with three shutouts. The Colonels finish the regular season next week at Campbell County.

Beechwood never looked back, scoring 38 unanswered points en route to capturing the No. 1 seed with another district title.
