The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Dallas Cowboys 30-24 in Week 8 on “Sunday Night Football.” The win led to a somewhat awkward moment on the field during a live post-game interview.

49ers defensive end Nick Bosa fell on the field at Levi's Stadium during NBC sideline reporter Melissa Stark's live postgame interview with Brock Purdy, George Kittle and Isaac Guerendo; The 49ers star appeared in the background wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.

Bosa leaned over Purdy's shoulder and pointed to his white and gold cap emblazoned with former President Donald Trump's “MAGA” slogan.

His teammates paused and greeted him; Kittle laughed as Bosa returned to the locker room. Stark seemed surprised since Bosa was not one of the game's stars selected for the live interview.

“Okay, Nick Bosa with a message,” Stark said.

When Bosa spoke at the podium after the game, he was asked about the hat.

“I won’t talk about it too much, but it’s an important time,” he said.

Bosa had three tackles and a sack in the win. The four-time Pro Bowler had 3.5 sacks and 25 tackles entering Week 8. The 49ers improved to 4-4 on the year.
