10. Los Angeles Rams (4-4)

16. New York Giants (2-7)

The Washington Commanders continued their victory over the New York Giants and stayed ahead of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Washington is a half-game ahead of the Eagles and there are still two weeks until the first head-to-head matchup of the season in Week 11. Philadelphia moved into the first wild card spot thanks to losses elsewhere in the NFC.

After the Dallas Cowboys' recent loss to the Atlanta Falcons, the NFC East will likely be down to a two-way race. Dallas is four games behind Washington and three games behind the Eagles in the win list. There's a real possibility that the Cowboys won't even contend for a wild card spot.

Detroit's 24:14 victory over Green Bay in the NFC North provided some clarity. The Lions are currently in a direct due break duel against the Packers and Vikings.

The Vikings edged out the Packers and Eagles in the wild card race with their home win Sunday night against the Colts. They are a half game ahead of Green Bay and over the Eagles based on winning strength in the tiebreaker.

The Chicago Bears couldn't help themselves with an away loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The wild card now appears to be the only hope for Caleb Williams and Co. as they trail Detroit by three games.

Arizona used its win to stay atop the NFC West for another week. The Cardinals still have two games left against the Seattle Seahawks and one against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Niners, Seahawks and Los Angeles Rams each have four wins, so it will be difficult for the Cardinals to stay ahead of the division. All three contenders in the NFC West may have to fight for first place if they cannot close the two-game gap to the wild card spots.

The only certain thing right now is the Atlanta Falcons' status atop the NFC South. They are two full games ahead of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Falcons could have a 2.5 game lead if the Bucs lose to the Chiefs on Monday night.
