Despite the Miami Dolphins' last-second 28-27 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday, fans praised quarterback Tua Tagovailoa for his return to the field after suffering his third professional concussion in Week 2.

Tagovailoa and the Dolphins fell to 2-5 this season after their home loss, while the Cardinals improved to 4-4 and extended their winning streak after another narrow 17-15 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 7.

In his return, Tagovailoa completed 28 of 38 passes for 234 yards and a touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, quarterback Kyler Murray completed 26 of 36 passes for 307 yards, with two touchdowns and a fumble. Marvin Harrison Jr. contributed a season-high 111 yards on six receptions with one touchdown.

NFL fans across the country had mixed feelings about Tua Tagovailoa's return after he suffered his third concussion on September 12 against the Buffalo Bills. After the hit that sidelined him for five weeks, fans speculated that Tagovailoa might be nearing retirement – a short-lived idea that was quickly refuted by NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

His return sparked many concerns about the long-term safety of the 26-year-old, who told reporters that he would not be wearing a protective cap over his helmet upon his return for “personal reasons.”

Regardless of the outcome, Miami fans were happy to have Tagovailoa back on the field, and even more happy to see him slide safely to the first down, cheering for “Tua” and supporting his decision.

Fans took to social media to praise Miami's excellent offense under Tagovailoa.
