Diversity, Katcy Stephen:

“I was 'pessimistic' at the beginning, but… WICKED is a masterpiece. Ariana Grande makes Glinda shine: she enjoys every moment with enthusiasm, humor and hair twists. Jon M. Chu gave the story so much new life that I can see why it had to be in two parts! The 20-year wait was worth it.”

Vanity Fair, Chris Murphy:

“I've seen the Wicked movie not once, not twice, but three times now, and believe me, when I say it's an absolute hit, you'll be speechless beyond belief. Everything you think the movie looks like on your broken iPhones is wrong. Cynthia and Ari are truly impeccable.”

We live entertainment, Scott Menzel:

“Wicked is a cinematic spectacle that ranks among the best screen adaptations of a Broadway musical of all time. Jon M. Chu perfectly captures the magic of the Broadway show while adding some of his own unique flourishes to the source material. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo are awesome as Elphaba and Galinda. Jonathan Bailey is also pretty phenomenal in the film. Wicked lives up to the hype and often does. Oh, and there's a scene that will have fans of the Broadway show absolutely losing their minds. “Wicked” is undoubtedly one of the best films of the year.”

WBAL TV, Lauren Veneziani:

“One of the most perfect musical adaptations ever. 💚💗 #WickedMovie exceeded my expectations. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande are a perfect match made in film music heaven. One dance scene particularly touched me. Wow. I can't wait to see it again! It’s the Shiz!!”

The wrap, Drew Taylor:

“#Wicked is solid – lavishly realized, quite moving at times (both leads are amazing). But it also falls into some of the traps of Disney live-action remakes that diminish its impact – too long, loud, over-designed. Overall I really enjoyed it and can’t wait for part 2🧹.”
