MOTM survey: BVB has a long time coming against Sturm Graz in the Champions League

1 minute, 20 seconds Read

Sturm Graz is a name you don't often see in the Champions League, so you can expect Borussia Dortmund to handle it without too much difficulty. Of course BVB are a very stupid bunch, instead they dominated the game but struggled to create many clear chances. Fortunately, Serhou Guirassy and Donyell Malen managed to find a Dortmund winner late on.

It is noteworthy that BVB started with the same starting eleven as against RB Leipzig on Saturday evening, and there seemed to be a lot of tired legs. Fatigue seemed to be Dortmund's toughest opponent tonight. Still, it was more difficult than we would have liked.

Ramy Bensebaini

He was losing it, so much so that he ended up cramping (though he still struggled to block the shot before he went down) and had some decent moments along the way.

Pascal Gross

Everything was going well for Groß in the first half, and BVB was also in top form during this time. Sometimes he seemed to play wherever he pleased, but in a good way! He faded in the second half, but so did everyone else.

Maximilian Beier

Beier was very, very lively in the first half and almost scored a spectacular goal to give Dortmund the lead. He probably deserved a little more reward for his efforts.

Donyell Painting

He has achieved the goal. We like goals.
