Israeli forces are withdrawing from the last functioning hospital in the northern Gaza Strip

Reuters has reported that Israeli forces withdrew from a hospital complex in northern Gaza a day after storming them.

On Friday, Gaza's Health Ministry accused Israeli forces of storming Kamal Adwan Hospital in Jabalia camp. The ministry also claimed that hundreds of staff, patients and displaced people had been arrested.

Medics said at least 44 of the facility's 70-member hospital team had been detained by the army. It was later said that the army had released 14 of them, including the hospital director.

At least two children are also believed to have died in intensive care after Israeli fire hit generators and the oxygen station at the facility on Friday.

Footage distributed by the Health Ministry – which Reuters could not immediately verify – showed damage to several buildings after the withdrawal of Israeli forces.

A Hamas fighter has been killed in an attack in the West Bank, according to the Israeli military.

In a joint statement carried by AFP, the Israeli military, police and domestic intelligence service Shin Bet said forces killed the militant during an “anti-terror operation” in Tulkarem.

Hezbollah fired rockets at five residential areas in northern Israel.

AFP reported that Hezbollah fired “barrels of rockets” on Saturday at five residential areas in northern Israel, including on the outskirts of Krayot near Haifa.
