Men's basketball exhibition and football party set for Saturday afternoon

Fans will get their first look at the 2024-25 Missouri men's basketball team on Saturday afternoon when the Tigers host Lincoln University in an exhibition game. Tipoff is scheduled for 12:30 p.m. at Mizzou Arena.

Following the exhibition contest, fans are also invited to watch two national teams battle it out on the football gridiron as the No. 21 Tigers play No. 15 Alabama starting at 2:30 p.m

Admission to the exhibition and the watch party is free. Concessions are open all night at Mizzou Arena. There will also be an opportunity to sign autographs with the men's basketball team, while parking in all lots will be open and free to fans. Students can also receive free food when they cheer on the Tigers.

ABOUT THE TIGER
Mizzou will have a new look in 2024-25 under the leadership of the third-year Whitten Family men's basketball head coach Dennis Gates. The Tigers are one of three programs in the country to have a top-15 freshman and transfer class and welcome the No. 5 freshman class in the country and No. 13 transfer class in the country to the CoMo.

ABOUT THE BLUE TIGER
Lincoln compiled a 15-15 record during the 2023-24 campaign, including a 9-13 record in the MIAA. The 2024-25 Blue Tigers are led by five returnees, including Franck Yetna, who averaged 10.7 points and 5.4 rebounds in shooting.

HISTORY OF THE SERIES
The schools last met in an exhibition game before the 2008-09 season, with the Tigers posting a 97-54 win at Mizzou Arena. Five Tigers scored in double figures, led by a dozen points from Marcus Denmon and Leo Lyons.

Starting at just $285 and $730 for lower tier seats, season tickets are the only way for fans to secure a seat for all action during the 2024-25 season, including the Tigers' home game against Kansas in the Hy- Vee Hoops Border Showdown.
