Maine is expecting record-breaking warmth this Halloween

PORTLAND (WGME)— Maine is expected to experience record-breaking warmth and lots of sunshine on Halloween.

The warmth will last until Friday and it will be significantly cooler over the weekend.

Halloween will be incredibly warm in Maine. Highs will be in the mid or even upper 70s, and records will be broken in many cities with plenty of sunshine throughout the day.

Temperatures will remain very mild for trick-or-treaters into the evening, gradually falling into the 60s.

Friday will bring another round of showers or even a steady rain in the morning, with sunny skies, highs in the 70s and plenty of sunshine in the afternoon.

It will also be very windy with winds reaching 30-40 mph, there may be an isolated power outage.

Significantly cooler air will move in at the weekend. Temperatures will be more than 20 degrees cooler Saturday, with sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 40s or lower 50s.

On Sunday it will remain cool and sunny, with highs mostly around 50°C.

Cool temperatures with lots of clouds are expected to continue until Monday next week. Rain showers return Monday night into Tuesday morning.

Rain showers will ease by Election Day afternoon. Highs will be in the upper 50s.

More warmth is likely through Wednesday next week with highs in the 70s!
