US election 2024

North Carolina voters will cast their ballots in the race for president, governor and the state's 14 U.S. House seats. According to Cook Political Report ratings, the state is a “tie” in the presidential race. Republican Mark Robinson, the state's lieutenant governor, is running against Democrat Josh Stein, the attorney general, in an open gubernatorial race described as “likely Democratic.” The House race in District 1 is also considered a toss up.

Voters will also decide on a ballot measure that would change voting eligibility language.

North Carolina will begin reporting results after polls close at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Time.
