The Charlotte Hornets are ready to face Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Gopher State. Edwards and Hornets superstar LaMelo Ball will be forever linked as they were both selected in the top three of the 2020 NBA Draft, and tonight will mark the next chapter in the burgeoning cross-conference rivalry.

“He was a great playmaker. I think he did a great job with the ball in our early offense
Creating from the pick-and-roll. Sometimes it gets a little faster, the rest I don't think so
His team can keep up with his pace, but he still makes things happen out of nothing.
I think his habits off the ball have improved. You see him catch and shoot a few more times
3s because I think he trusts Tre Mann to run a pick-and-roll or he trusts Brandon (Miller).
or Miles (Bridges) or whoever it may be. He brings it together on both sides of the offense
side of the ball in terms of playing on the ball and off the ball.”

No star had a bigger impact in this team's final game than former Timberwolves forward Karl Anthony-Towns. KAT scored 62 points in the last game against the Hornets, a joint record with Carmelo Anthony for most points scored in a game against Charlotte. The Hornets overcame a 15-point fourth quarter deficit to beat the Timberwolves in the quarter, and Charlotte just announced the five players who will start tonight's game with hopes of making it two wins in the Land of a Thousand Lakes to enter the sequence.

Veteran big man Taj Gibson will start his first game as a Hornet tonight. Gibson, affectionately known as 'unc', will reinforce the painted area in the absence of Mark Williams and Nick Richard.
