Lainey Wilson has given a very rare glimpse into her private life with boyfriend Devlin Hodges, revealing there's nowhere she'd rather be than with him.

The video showed the two sitting next to each other in an SUV as they drove through bumpy forest terrain along a lake. As they shot the video from the rearview mirror, the two smiled and Devlin – known as Duck – leaned towards his girlfriend.

They both wore baseball caps, and Lainey tied her hair into the baseball cap.

“There's no place I'd rather be #4x4xu @devlinhodges,” she captioned the post, which was overlaid with her new hit single “4x4xU.”

“Ain't nowhere I'd rather be / than in a 4×4 from you, baby, from NYC to LA / from the city to the country / from here to Kalamazoo,” the lyrics go.

Duck is a former NFL player turned real estate agent, and he joked in the comments section, “I hear this guy is ready for duck season.”

The couple met in 2021 when Duck was playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers, but their lives went in different directions when Lainey's singing career took off and Duck left the NFL and signed with the Ottawa Redblacks of the Canadian Football League.

“It was like his life was changing, just like my life was changing and we were going in different directions,” she saidthe old Zane Lowe earlier in 2024 However, after the early days of their friendship, he retired from the sport in 2022 and they were able to focus on their relationship.

“I mean, it’s not normal.” She said of their unusual dynamic. “We don’t see each other as often as some couples, but we also know that what we have is very special.”

“He’s my biggest cheerleader,” she continued. “He’s just a good person.” And he knows how important it is to make a dream come true, because football has been his life since he was a little boy.”

They went public in 2023 after Devlin began regularly retweeting posts praising Lainey for her artistry. He also retweeted a fan post about Lainey wearing his jersey at a concert in April 2023 and invited her to get in touch, followed by another tweet that read, “Shooting my shot.”

To fans' delight, Lainey responded to his tweet with: “That's me roaring.” Devlin then replied: “Oh my God. Hello.”

That soft start then led to her first public appearance in May 2023, when he was her date at the 58th Academy of Country Music Awards.
