Kristin Chenoweth praises 'Wicked' and remains cautious about possible cameo appearances

More than 20 years after the stage role of Glinda was created EvilKristin Chenoweth praises her cinema successors.

After noting that she can “neither confirm nor deny” a cameo in the long-awaited feature film adaptation, premiering in theaters November 22, the Tony winner gave a rave review for the feature film adaptation of the Broadway Musicals by director Jon M. Chu.

After a screening with the film's cast, Chenoweth gave the movie musical her seal of approval in a video of her drive home. “You won't even believe how good it is,” she captioned the clip. “I will never be the same!!!”

Chenoweth gushed in the video: “Oh my God, I just saw the movie and I'm dying. I died, I'm actually dead, I'm not here. People won't feel good when they see this movie. It's so good, it's so special.

“The story is so wonderful and Cynthia and Ariana are amazing. The entire cast is great. Jon Chu did it. I was so moved, emotional, happy and full of joy. Please everyone stop by Evilyou will be blessed,” she added.

Chenoweth and Menzel played Glinda, the Good Witch, and Elphaba, the Wicked Witch of the West, in the 2003 Broadway musical – which was based on Gregory Maguire's 1995 novel and that of L. Frank Baum The Wonderful Wizard of Oz Books – which won Menzel the Tony for Best Lead Actress in a Musical, for which her co-star was also nominated.

The film follows Elphaba (Erivo) and Glinda (Grande) as they first meet at Shiz University and their life-changing encounter with the Wizard of Oz (Jeff Goldblum).

Chu was hired to direct the Universal adaptation back in 2021. The first Evil The part starts on November 22nd, 2024, the second part follows on November 21st, 2025.
