MANHATTAN – Kansas State football is back home for the first time in four weeks on Saturday, hosting rival Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown at Bill Snyder Family Stadium on Saturday night.

The 16th-ranked Wildcats (6-1, 3-1 Big 12) qualified for the bowl last week by beating West Virginia on the road 45-18 for their third straight win, but will need to get past KU for a chance to stay pursue their larger goals, a berth in the Big 12 Championship Game and possibly the College Football Playoff.

K-State also has a 15-game winning streak against the Jayhawks (2-5, 1-3), whose 42-14 win over Houston last week snapped a five-game losing streak. KU has little margin for error in its bid to qualify for the bowl and must win at least four of its final five games in the regular season.
